Meetings & Events
We meet at Juanita Community Club: 13027 - 100th Ave. NE, Kirkland, WA 98034
Our meetings are held the 3rd Friday of the month except July and August.
We start at 7:00 p.m. with a program for the young members of the club as well as snacks and social time. At about 7:30 p.m. the adults start their program. We discuss club events, current projects, and share news and topics of interest. January through June there is usually a program relating to the science or art of rocks. September through December we hold various rock themed fun events including Bingo and a holiday gift exchange. Following the program, we have time for show and tell, raffle off cool stuff and hold a door prize drawing.
Not a member yet? Feel free to come to a meeting to see what the club is like. Then fill out a membership application and provide your membership fee on your second meeting.

Join us at 7:00pm for the kids program. Making rock necklaces.
The regular meeting will start at 7:30pm. Rock hounding show and tell. Share your favorite rockhounding spots and bring a rock or two that you found there. We'll also be bringing some examples of equipment you might use in the field.

Join us at 7:00pm for the kids program. Kids version of "guess the rock" where kids bring some of their rocks from home for others to guess.
The regular meeting will start at 7:30pm. Kim will lead our annual "Guess the rock". Start studying! Easier category for beginners and harder ones to try to stump the experts.

The regular meeting will start at 7:30pm. This meeting will be a working party to prepare for the upcoming Show on Mar 2-3. (painting signs and making smash rocks to sell at the show).
No kids program. kids will help with show prep.

Dec 15 2023 Holiday Gift Exchange
Join us at 7:00pm for treats and at 7:30pm for our annual holiday gift exchange!
You are welcome to bring snacks or holiday treats to share before we do our gift exchange!
Please bring a wrapped rock themed gift valued at approximately $10. If it is gender specific label it, or if it is strictly kids then label as such - otherwise no labels are needed. Be sure you wrap it!
We'll have fun exchanging and stealing gifts until everyone who brought a gift has something fun to take home!
There will not be a kids meeting separately since the kids participate with the main meeting, but come early if you want to socialize before the meeting it is always a fun time.
This event is for members only, but you can join / renew at the party!
Nov 17 2023 Charity Auction
Join us at 7:30pm for our annual charity auction. This year we'll be donating money to King County search and rescue. A variety of exciting items will be up for auction. You are also encouraged to bring rock themed items to donate to the auction!
Calling all kids! Kids will get the chance to show off the items for auction to the club members. A super fun way to support our hobby!
Oct 20 2023, Beryl
Join us at 7:00pm for the kids program where we'll be using classifiers to sift through gravel and find some cool rocks to take home!
The regular meeting will start at 7:30pm.
Kim will give an overview of the beryl mineral family and bring in a number of specimaes to show off! The beryl mineral family includes the gemstones aquamarine, morganite, emerald, red beryl, heliodor and goshenite.
Sep 15 2023 Bingo Night
Join us at 7:30pm for a lot of fun with Bingo Bingo Bingo! Lots of prizes, but you have to move fast before the next person hits Bingo and chooses the rock prize you had your eye on!
No kids program or door prizes / raffle this week since everyone can take part in bingo and receive great rock prizes that way.
